Made famous by its cellars and the production of the famous Brunello, the supreme wine, Montalcino, thanks to its splendid landscapes, it’s been recognized in 2004 also as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Bordered by imposing and historical walls dating back to the 13th century, the town of Montalcino is located in the centre of one of the most important areas of grape cultivation. It is in fact a territory renowned for the presence of Sangiovese vineyards, from which the famous Brunello di Montalcino is obtained, and they are also used for the production of two other DOC wines: Rosso di Montalcino and Sant'Antimo.

Among the monuments and interesting buildings to visit we suggest, the Cathedral of Montalcino, an imposing monument built in the fourteenth century, but renovated in neoclassical style during the early nineteenth century.
