LA GIOSTRA DEL SARACINO/ THE SARACEN CAROUSEL.
It’s an important centuries-old tradition with medieval origins, which takes place in Arezzo twice a year: the penultimate Saturday of June by night, and the first Sunday of September on daytime. The four districts in which the city is divided participate to the carousel that is still disputed now days wearing medieval costumes. It's an ancient knightly competition that consists in striking a target with a lance stroke during a horse race that is placed on the shield of a revolving doll, the Buratto who symbolizes the king of the Indies, and try to avoid the shots coming from the doll. Children are always amused and amazed by this spectacular event, if you come by during those days do not miss this unique experience.
SALTALBERO ADVENTUROUS PATHS
Saltalbero is an oasis of quiet surrounded by nature overlooking the Ombrone river valley. It is a multi-purpose equipped area, and it’s the perfect place to spend a day having fun on the ground and through the paths in the woods. This amazing equipped paths are an original way to discover the nature in all its shapes. During the walk you will find Tibetan bridges, pirate stairs, cable ways, swinging logs, and you can choose the best itinerary for you and your kids. CRAZY LITTLE HORSE
The “Crazy little horse” is an amusement park, it’s the biggest in Tuscany and it's the greenest and the most echo-compatible amusement park in Central Italy. It is been located in the pine forest of Marina di Castagneto Carducci. Two hours far from our holiday house but is the perfect place for those who want to spend a day out of the common with the whole family. The crazy little horse is a magic, colorful place with attractions and games suitable for everyone: from the youngest one to the teenagers, up to the adults who can have fun in complete relax. THE GNOMES PATH
It is a fairy tale place that runs through the woods of Armina in which is possible to spot magical creatures as the gnomes who live hidden in the trees of this woods. Along the path you can visit the gnomes village, and its small houses, the mills near the waterways and mountain huts overlooking the green. After a stone bridge, the trail becomes a loop path of about 2 km where children can have fun looking for the village of the gnomes, the animals of the forest made of wood and the funny signs with nursery rhymes, stories and indications about the local flora and fauna.
